Plight of Dalits - Who Should Be Held Accountable

The Western Liberals have an uncanny knack to gloss over and portray their crimes as some benevolent and philanthropic actions. The SB-403 is a law that was recently passed by the California state. The objective of the law looks so holy and humanitarian – “SB 403 provides explicit protections to those who have been systemically harmed due to caste bias and prejudice”. And the lawmakers in California are particularly passionate about the rights of Dalits and hence they extended their support for this law. Why should anyone have an objection against any law that is aimed to provide justice to a set of humans who have been wronged? That’s what the liberals and brainwashed Indians would say. Because the former is adept at hiding their historical crimes and the later is inept at knowing their own history.

Any rational being would ask two fundamental questions – (1) what is the genesis for the plight of the Dalits? and (2) when caste discrimination is waning even in India, why did a US state find it as a burning need to hastily pass a law that prohibits caste discrimination in US where there is none? But evidently the colonial hangover has damaged us so badly that we stopped asking questions. How many Indians know that the genesis of creation of the community that is today called as “Dalits”, lies in the Criminal Tribes Act 1871, imposed by the British?

Let’s look at the horror of yet another crime disguised as a benevolent act and the sins conveniently deposited in someone else’s account. In 1871, the British “wanted to the control the menace of the thugs” and for this “noble” purpose, they brought in this draconian law called Criminal Tribes Act. If we were to remain as ignorant as ever, we shall ask the question “why should we have any objection to a law that was brought-in to provide safety and justice to our ancestors and establish law and order?”.

That’s how, brainwashed, we would remain if we don’t know the history. Oh yes, when we start asking uncomfortable questions, didn’t we hear from our liberal friends “Why should we dig history to find historical wrongs? Why can’t we just look into a beautiful future, live peacefully etc etc”. If anyone is convinced with this liberal argument, they are the most blessed because ignorance is bliss. But this blog is about education for those who are willing to shake themselves out of their blessed comfort zone.

Let’s look at the actual objective and the subsequent consequences of Criminal Tribes Act (CTA) 1871.

Sociologist and independent researcher Meena Radhakrishna wrote that “the origins behind the creation of the act concerned revolt of 1857 where many tribal chiefs as Dhan Singh Gurjar were labelled traitors and considered rebellious”. Further, the British government found it difficult to distinguish various wandering tribes and groups including eunuchs from a few criminal groups. Those with nomadic lifestyles were seen as a menace to 19th century society and required control, or at least surveillance. Thus, the Criminal Tribes Act was born, permanently labelling any and every wandering tribes / groups and their ancestors and next generations as criminals. And the law that had the genesis in outlawing tribes that were rebellious, was sold to the then populace as a benevolent action to bring order in society.

As a result, anyone born in the communities notified in CTA was presumed to be a born criminal. The British enforced this law with iron hand. Those from these notified communities were subject to ostracization and public prejudice. They were forced to live on the outskirts of towns and villages. Denied any kind of livelihood, they had to take up the work of scavengers and sewage workers. Pt Satish K Sharma in his book “Caste, Conversion, A Colonial Conspiracy” recorded that “When India gained freedom from British in 1947, 13 million people in 127 “criminal by birth” communities faced search and arrest if any member of the group was found outside the area prescribed to them by the Anglicans”. He further adds “Today’s Dalits are the descendants of those who survived the horrors and degradation of the Anglican concentration camps”.

I wrote about the Indian Varna system in this article. All Hindus were part of the four varnas which were based on guna (nature) and karma (action). And there was no fifth varna. The British census committee for the first time proposed the creation of fifth varna. The British census committee report of 1869 proposed “In the first instance, there will ofcourse be the grand division of the Hindus into 1, Brahmins; 2, Kshatriyas; 3, Vaishyas; 4, Shudras; 5, Out Castes or Pariahs”. Then followed the CTA of 1871 and thus, the untouchable caste was created and expanded by the European liberals. And today the same liberals accuse other castes in India for the plight of Dalits. The same liberals are shedding crocodile tears by imposing caste laws in nations where there is no caste discrimination.

This brings us to the second question – “when caste discrimination is waning even in India, why did a US state find it as a burning need to hastily pass a law that prohibits caste discrimination in US where there is none”. This has the genesis in the caste identity politics that the Socialist Congress and Communists adopted in post-independence era. Being what they are, the relics of their colonial masters, these two political groups continued the same British policy of divide-and-rule. What better way than to divide the Hindu community along the caste lines?

But this changed in the past decade. As the new age historians started exposing the carefully built lies of the Nehruvian and Marxist historians, Hindu community started realizing the frauds that were committed on them. With an OBC as a PM, the OBC social engineering project of the Communists and Socialists started falling apart. The now-far-left-to-left-of-communists Congress and the communists needed a new tool to keep society divided. With Kanshiram’s BSP losing ground, these divisive forces saw hope and a fertile ground for social engineering using Dalits. The experiment took shape with the Bhima-Koregaon engineered violence in 2018. The experiment further gained momentum with “Jai Bheem – Jai Meem” sloganeering. But, this didn’t generate any fruits for either Congress or for Communists in 2019 or in any subsequent elections. Dalits have realized enough to see through the game.

So, the battle ground shifted to the place from where the so called “regime-change” operations runs – US. The Congress and Communists started collaboration on this project with their Western liberal counterparts. The strategy is to fabricate a global narrative of oppression of Muslims and Dalits in India and there-by gather funds for driving instability in the country and then force “regime-change”.

In 2020 a case was filed in the state of California against Cisco company for caste discrimination of an Indian Dalit employee by upper caste Hindu employees in same company. This case was used to build the narrative about Dalit oppression by the Hindus even in a “progressive” country like US. But the communists, Congies and the western liberals faced a setback here too, with the California Civil Rights Department dismissing the case against the two “upper caste” Cisco engineers, for the lack of any evidence. With funding available from billionaires like Geroge Soros and from the founders of Big-Tech, the liberals wouldn’t give up so easily.

So enters the SB-403 law. This law was passed without any study or convincing data. Except unprovable anecdotal statements and propaganda articles published by usual suspects such as NY Times and Washington Post, there is no basis for drafting and passing this law hastily. Hindu organizations of US and several professors from leading universities are fighting tooth and nail to block the casteism being used to divide the American Hindu society. Yet several Hindus, in US and in India, are as blissfully ignorant about this as they can.

The British with their lack of understanding about Hindu Varna system, equated it to the rigid European class system and damaged the fabric of Indian society. Further they created and expanded the fault lines. Socialists and Communists made the caste fault lines further worsened, for their own political existence. Yet they failed. Now this operation has become a priority agenda for the global liberals to aid and support their Indian counterparts in dividing the society. Hindu society can ignore these devious tactics, at their own peril.

Hindu Nationalism. What is it?

The terms "Hindutva and Hindu Nationalism" are frequently used in most derogatory and condescending manner by left liberals when discussing Indian politics in both Indian and Global liberal media. Remember the “Dismantling Global Hindutva” conference sponsored by several Western liberal universities? As if Hindutva is an evil that need to be wiped out from the face of this earth. These individuals and groups fail to define the terms or explain why they use them. So, it is important to analyze the two terms to demystify and expose the propaganda tactics. Let us start with “Hindutva.” To understand the term and phenomenon of "Hindutva" accurately, one must also understand the terms "Hindu" and "Hinduism" in depth. But, for the purposes of this article "Hindutva" can be defined briefly as a non-violent resistance against the assault of Abrahamic Religions, which has led to significant conversions and a decline in the Hindu population in ...

India's Strategic Response: Tit-for-Tat with China and Pakistan

A Dutch proverb says, “No one can have peace longer than his neighbour pleases”. In Mahabharata even Krishna, who could defeat any opponent, knew that a lasting peace with a hostile neighbour Jarasandha, who had already attacked Mathura 17 times, was impossible as long as the neighbour remains hostile. So, he built Dwaraka far away from Magadha and shifted the Yadava clan there. India finds itself in a challenging position, sandwiched between two hostile neighbours. China's Communist Party is an aggressive, rogue, expansionist regime that seeks global dominance at any cost, while Pakistan is a failed rogue state whose sole aim is to undermine and destroy India. Despite efforts to build bridges through people-to-people connections, the fundamental nature and attitude of these regimes remain unchanged. India cannot relocate its entire population to a far-off location, nor can it simply wish away its hostile neighbours. Maintaining a passive approach would allow China and Pakistan ...
